2020 - 2025
In 2023, LA, Inc. was awarded the USC Good Neighbors Grant for the Virtual Assisted Living And Education Program (V.A.L.E.).
In 2024, LA, Inc. celebrated the grand opening of the Living Advantage Youth Center (LAYC) with a ribbon-cutting and a video message from Mayor Karen Bass. Community leaders, including Crenshaw Chamber President JC Lacey and Beverly Hills Chamber President Todd Johnson, joined supporters in exploring the new facility, designed as a safe space for youth growth and development.
2015 - 2020
In 2020, Los Angeles Rams player, Joseph Noteboom, chose to begin wearing LA, Inc. cleats for the My Cause My Cleats game.

2010 - 2015
Chad L. Coleman appeared in a Public Service Announcement for LA, Inc. in 2015. A former foster youth himself, he regularly expresses the need for change in the foster care system.

Living Advantage, Inc. first comes up with the idea for eLockbox.

1995 - 2000
In 1996, Bernice W. Clay's dream was realized when the first six-bed group home opened. Bernice passed away just 3 years later, but her daughter Pamela R. Clay and LA, Inc., Board of Directors have continued her mission to help at-risk youth.
1993 - 1995
Founder Bernice W. Clay incorporated LA, Inc. as a non-profit organization. Bernice had a vision to help underprivileged youth in areas of special education, severe emotional/behavioral problems, and speech impediments. During her 20 years as a speech pathologist for the LA Unified School District in Aphasia and Special Education, her passion for helping high-risk youth developed.
