MALIBU, Calif. - March 27, 2024 - PRLog -- Living Advantage, Inc. (LA, Inc.), a 30-year-old nonprofit organization committed to empowering at-risk, foster, and probation youth, celebrates a noteworthy six-month achievement in providing life skills training in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Probation Department. Significant progress has been observed among probation juveniles at two key LA County Probation facilities where services are offered: Camp Kilpatrick in Malibu, CA, and Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Hall in Sylmar, CA.

Since the partnership began in September 2023, LA, Inc. has been steadfast in its commitment to providing comprehensive life skills training tailored to the unique needs of each juvenile probationer. Through a blend of interactive workshops, personalized coaching, and experiential learning, LA, Inc. has been instrumental in equipping these young individuals with the tools and knowledge necessary to navigate life beyond the confines of their past mistakes.

"Here at Living Advantage, we firmly believe in the transformative power of education, mentorship, and practical life skills training," said Pamela R. Clay, Executive Director of LA, Inc. "We don't want our kids to end up back in these facilities, instead we focus on a proactive approach by teaching them essential life skills that they can use once they get out. The rates of recidivism are way too high. We are incredibly proud of the progress we have made in the past six months and remain dedicated to continuing our work in empowering these young individuals to build brighter futures."

Through a holistic approach to youth development, LA, Inc. has been delivering a range of life skills training modules, including Family and Peer Relations, Financial Literacy, along with Strategies For Success Trainings. By addressing the multifaceted needs of probation juveniles, the organization aims to break the cycle of recidivism and foster positive long-term outcomes.

The impact of LA, Inc.'s efforts extends far beyond the confines of the program itself, as evidenced by the stories of transformation and resilience witnessed among the probation juveniles at Camp Kilpatrick and BJNJH. By instilling essential life skills and fostering a supportive environment conducive to personal growth, the organization has empowered these young individuals to envision a future filled with promise and opportunity.

As LA, Inc. looks ahead to the future, the organization remains dedicated to expanding its reach and deepening its impact within the Los Angeles community. Through continued collaboration with the Los Angeles County Probation Department and other stakeholders, LA, Inc. is committed to paving the way for a brighter tomorrow for youth across the region.
