What Foster Youth Should Do When ICE Shows Up

Kalle Noble

Stay Calm. Know Your Rights. Protect Yourself.

If ICE agents show up at your door, do not open it. You have the right to ask why they are there. If they request entry, demand to see a warrant signed by a judge—no warrant, no entry.

🔹 Teach children not to open the door.

🔹 Do not run—it could give them a reason to arrest you.

🔹 Stay silent if detained and contact a lawyer immediately.

🔹 Download the Mobile Justice app for real-time legal guidance.

🔹 Access mental health support—these situations can be traumatic.

📞 Need help? Call the LAUSD mental health hotline: (213) 241-3840 (Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM – 4 PM).
